2012 Australian Institute of Management Churchill Fellowship to investigate leadership and management

The Australian Institute of Management is proud to partner with The Winston Churchill Memorial Trust to sponsor a Churchill Fellowship commencing in 2012. The Fellowship will be known as The Australian Institute of Management Churchill Fellowship to investigate leadership and management.

The Winston Churchill Memorial Trust was established in 1965 to honour the memory of Sir Winston Churchill and to administer the annual Churchill Fellowships award scheme. Since its inception over 3,500 Churchill Fellowships have been awarded to Australians who, like Churchill, are innovative, filled with a spirit of determination and possess a strong desire to benefit their community. 

The Australian Institute of Management Churchill Fellowship allows you to design your own research project within the specified fields of leadership and management, travel overseas to conduct research and further your knowledge in your chosen field, before returning to disseminate your research findings and make a real contribution to Australian society.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for the 2012 Australian Institute of Management Churchill Fellowship to investigate leadership and management you must:

• be an Australian citizen over the age of 18
• have a worthy research project that merits overseas investigation and will be of value and benefit to the Australian community
• not be completing tertiary studies directly related to the topic of your proposed project
• have sufficient current achievement, knowledge and expertise in the field of the proposed project in management and leadership to warrant a Fellowship
• display significant commitment to the fields of leadership and management and demonstrate you can contribute to those fields into the future; and
• on your return to Australia be willing to disseminate the results of your overseas research by completing a report, implementing your findings and sharing your knowledge and experience with managers and leaders and the broader Australian community.

Applications are not accepted from past Churchill Fellowship recipients.
